I am on TV!

Hey Blog Peeps! I havent posted a new blog for two weeks and this is really not an exception. I will write a full blog this week. But I wanted to post a link to the new episode of Live Big! With Ali Vincent that I am featured in. She was here in Kansas City in April and that is when this was taped but it just aired this past Thursday. I have 2 months to lose as much weight as possible before she returns. 40 pounds has eluded me but I wont be defeated. Enjoy the episode. And So It Began...

In August 2009, I became very ill while on vacation in Cleveland, OH visiting cousins. I went to the Feast of the Assumption, a large Italian festival held in summer every year in the Little Italy neighborhood. It was hot and I weighed approximately 315 lbs. I remember walking with the procession through Little Italy for about 3 miles or more for the course of the day while enjoying the festival. No easy feat for someone who lead a VERY sedentary lifestyle. Afterward I noticed that my feet and ankles were swollen to the point of my skin being stretched tight and a horrid shade of purple. I was scared that something was really wrong with me. I went to the ER at the Cleveland Clinic and I had a bad case of cellulitis and my blood pressure was RIDICULOUS (the top number was over 200). I was so upset by the whole ordeal that I decided that it was time to do something about my weight or else I was going to die. The infamous wake-up call had arrived and so my journey finally began. Thank God I finally had the courage to answer. This is my story.
